Everything that we put into our bodies has value. The food we eat, the thoughts we think, and the environment around us all create the quality of life that we experience. Much like the old idiom, "You are what you eat," it is my belief that in fact, all that we take into our lives creates the lives we are living, right now.
Let's start with our nutrition, when we make poor choices in our food, we often see the emotional imbalances we harbor, these show up as excuses for eating that food. That choice then impacts our physical health and influences the dis-eases that seem to suddenly appear in our lives. We soon find ourselves avoiding the truth of our responsibilty as co-conspirator's in our lives and our own power, right here and right now.
Look at your nutrition now, what would you say you are made of? There are times in my life where I was literally sugar and spice, believe me the results were not very nice! Times when I thought that I was in fine health, in retrospect knowing that thin didn't equal well. It is important for all of us to seek information, take action and never stop learning. Only then can your nourishment go from being based on a diet consisting of the thing you don't want to do or eat, to a '"Live-It", driven by a lifestyle that you desire and enjoy.
Are there things that you are choosing differently now that are positively impacting your life? Is there a lifestyle change that you had been perhaps resisting and once you tried it, has become a great addition to your life? I was never a fan of water and would always opt for juice, until I found out how it was spiking my blood sugar and adding a lot of unnecessary calories. Now that I make it a point to drink water, that alone has improved my energy. So how about you? How do you "Live-It" up?
