An anaerobic exercise can be defined as an activity that requires brief spurts of high intensity movement.
.
Anaerobic exercise makes the body move at such a rate that the blood stream cannot supply oxygen to muscles fast enough to create energy. So in turn, though the body is receiving oxygen, it is not enough for the muscle to meet the demands of the activity.
This activates what is known as “The After Burn” or EPOC (Excess Post Exercise Oxygen Consumption). This refers to the muscles’ need to replace the energy lost during high intensity exercise.

The higher the intensity of the exercise, the more oxygen and energy are needed to restore the body. To get this energy the body first burns calories from fat reserves, once the fat in the muscle is already burnt through during the intense exercise.

Over time, your body’s ability to convert energy directly into the muscle will increase. As the muscle’s ability to store energy increases, so does the demand for fat release. As a result, the body brings more energy into the muscles instead of sending them to your fat reserves.
As an added bonus, every pound of muscles can burn 20 calories of fat daily! The more toned you get, the easier it will be to maintain the body you love to have.
IF Trainings' combination anaerobic exercise with aerobic exercise, creates a perfect opportunity to build cardiovascular strength along with muscle strength.
